Write This Down

Why branded notepads work

When you answer a phone call, find an important bit of information or need to remind yourself of something later, what do you do? You write it down. Every day, several times a day, we scribble down our thoughts, messages and to-do lists onto notepads.

Every time your customer looks down, they should see you. That is the potential in branded notepads. Not only are you providing something that your customers will actually find useful, you have the potential to imprint your brand in their mind. You also have the added bonus of other people seeing your brand on their desk and increasing brand recognition around an office or home.

Branded notepads are an inexpensive way of marketing and increasing brand recognition.

How to maximise your effectiveness

1. Audience. Give the notepads to your target market and existing customers. Reinforcing your branding works well if there is initial brand recognition. That way they associate your brand with a positive experience.

2. Design. Keep it simple and don't overdo your branding. Remember that the primary purpose of a notepad is to have space to write things down. If your marketing is too big, then the notebook becomes useless and the opportunity will be lost.

3. Quality printing. Make sure that your notepad is made with a good stock and great quality printing. The quickest way to make your brand look cheap is have poor quality or inconsistent printing.

4. Delivery. Bring a notepad to client visits, hand them out one by one to customers when they visit your office. Delivering your notepads in person creates a sense of significance. Your customer is more likely to feel special and value your notepad, and in turn your brand.
