Lenticular or holographic printing is primarily used in promotional materials such as direct mail or postcards but does have a wider application in almost any medium from posters to mouse pads. Our Sydney-based lenticular printing can be distributed around Australia and even overseas!

Lenticular Effects

Flip- the image simply switches from one image to another with large movements

Zoom- a chosen focus of the image is enlarged in each image, so it appears to get bigger as the lenticular print is moved

Morph- a gradual change in each image sees the original image morph from the first to the last image. This can also be used to create motion.

3D- each eye sees a different image due to the angle the images are printed, creating a 3D effect on all or part of the image

How does lenticular printing work?

The lenticular material is made up of tiny ridges or lenses. Typically using from 1 to 9 images, the raw images are processed and matched with the lens surface of the material.

We print on the reverse side of the lenticular lens material, as this is where the focus point is, and allows the images to be replayed back to the eye as the viewing angle changes creating the effects above.

Because of the set up costs involved, lenticular printing is more cost effective with longer runs.
